What it is
A Warrant of Fitness is the six or twelve monthly safety check every vehicle on New Zealand roads needs. We’re an authorised testing station, so you can get the warrant and any repairs done in the same visit.

What gets checked
The inspection covers the things that keep you and everyone else safe: brakes, tyres and wheels, steering and suspension, lights and indicators, glazing and wipers, the exhaust, seatbelts, the structure of the vehicle, and doors and mirrors. It isn’t a mechanical service — a warrant tells you the vehicle is safe to be on the road, not that everything under the bonnet is in good health.
Common questions
Do I need to book?
Booking is best, especially at the end of the month when everyone remembers theirs is due. Give us a ring and we'll find you a slot — often the same week.
Can I wait while it's done?
Yes. Most warrants are done while you wait. If we find something that needs fixing we'll talk you through it before doing any work.
What happens if it fails?
We'll tell you exactly what failed and what it will cost to put right. You're under no obligation to have us do the work, though most people find it easier than driving an unwarranted vehicle somewhere else.
Do you do trailers and horse floats?
We do. Trailers, caravans and horse floats are all part of what we handle — worth knowing out here where most people have something on the back.
